Carver Cemetery
Tacketts Mill, Stafford County, Virginia, USA
Created in the remote southwest of Marine Corps Base Quantico when the base expanded in 1942, here were reinterred the remains of African Americans whose graves were displaced by range activities. There are well over two hundred graves that were moved here. Most have a small cinder block marker as a headstone.
White graves were moved at the same time to Cedar Run Cemetery in Prince William County.
