George and Harriet Cluck settled here in the early 1800's and built a log house. They were instrumental in the development of the area. In 1900, their infant grandson died and they set aside a portion of their farm as a burial place.
The family graveyard became a community cemetery and was deeded as such in 1912. George and Harriet and their grandson are buried in the back part along with many family members and families. The stones on some of the old graves have cracked and broken and the inscriptions have weathered away on many, but the grounds are well kept.
