Wilder Cemetery
Ruston, Lincoln Parish, Louisiana, USA
According to Lincoln Parish History, a descendant of the intermarried Walkers and Wilders stated that Jim Walker and William Wilder arrived in Louisiana, specifically the area of Lincoln Parish, in the mid-1840s. These two men brought their wives, children, and people they kept enslaved from Georgia and South Carolina and made their homes on adjoining land. This cemetery, previously referred to as the "Walker Graveyard," was thought to be the burial grounds of the Walker/Wilder family.
