Quite a few from here attended the funeral of Mrs Engelson which was held in Odell Saturday. Mrs Anna Dorthea Engelson was born in the vicinity of Bergen,Norway Nov 21,1942. She came to America at the age of 18 and was united in marriage in 1864 to Lars Engelson, who died 15 years ago. 11 children was born to this union, 10 who preceded the mother in death. She is mourned by one son, Joseph of Odell, and 8 grandchildren. She became a member of Ransom about 15 years ago and was a faithful member of the Lutheran church. She has been in poor health for a number of years. The 21st of October she developed pneumenia, which together with old age, caused her death, which occurred Jan 24th at the home of John Thompson where she has been cared for since June 1922. She was buried from her son's home Jan 27th and laid to rest beside her husband and children in the Camp cemetery near Odell. (The Times newspaper; Wed Jan 31,1923 pg 5)
