He was born Peter Leonard Brink on January 22, 1920 in Grant Township, the son of Peter and Catherine Bolthouse Brink. He lived in the Grandt area all his life and graduated from Grand Rapids Christian High School in 1938 and Calvin College in 1942 before entry into the U.S. Army on August 29, 1942 until November 25, 1945.
He was a self-employed vegetable farmer on an area muck farm. He was a member of the Grant Christian Reformed Church, a past elder of the church, a member of the Gideons International, a past Grant Township Supervisor and board member of the Grant Christian School. He married the former, Lois M. Veenstra on June 10, 1948 in Fremont.
Surviving are his wife, Lois; his children, Rev. Peter E. and Deanne of Grand Rapids, David and Sheryl of Grant, Paul of Bangladesh, and Daniel Philip, Ruth, Mary and John, all of Grand; and five grandchildren.
A family prayer service was held in the Grant Christian Reformed Church Fellowship Room.
Funeral services were held in the church sanctuary with Pastor Willard Willink officiating. Interment was in the Hillside Cemetery near Grant. For memorials, please consider the Grant Christian School or the Gideons International.
