Florence Marie Hatzky, 94, died on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Maple Manor in Aplington.
She was born on November 24, 1929, in Nashua, IA, the daughter of Alvin and Eleanor (White) Dietz. She was a graduate of Nashua High School and was employed as a pattern maker at Power Manufacturing in Waterloo. On January 20, 1946, she was united in marriage to Lewis Hatzky at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2001.
Florence is survived by her daughter, Linda (Dwight) Hartzell of McKinney, TX; son, Ron Hatzky of Guttenburg; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Dean Dietz of Dumont; sister, Shirley Diesburg of Tripoli; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024, at Richardson Funeral Service in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, April 4th at Richardson Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery in Nashua.
