Mary Carbone (nee Pipola), 85, died on Sunday, March 24 in Hackensack. Born in Bronx, N.Y., she was formerly of Ridgefield, N.J. and was a resident of Glen Rock. Carbone was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Catharine R.C. Church in Glen Rock where she was a member of the Renew Group. She was a member of the Glen Rock Senior Citizens and a member of the Glen Court Apartments Social Committee.
Surviving are her children, Rosemary Doherty and husband Michael of Toms River, Anthony Carbone and wife Joan of Hampton Township, Annette Kraft and husband Robert of Bridgeton, N.J. Luke Carbone of New York, N.Y., George Carbone and wife Joan of Glen Rock; 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother Anthony Pipola of Warwick, N.Y. She was predeceased by her husband Luke Carbone.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 27 at Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, March 28 at St. Catharine R.C. Church in Glen Rock, with interment in Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to the St. Catharine Building Fund, 905 S. Maple Ave., Glen Rock, N.J.
