Kentuckian Wounded In Korea, 2 Reported Missing In Action
The Defense Department yesterday reported one Kentuckian wounded in the Korean area, two missing in action, and one injured. The injured man is a Louisvillian Sgt. Elbert E. Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Miller, 1422 Thornberry Avenue. He suffered a hand injury November 5, his family said. Listed as missing are Cpl. Wilmer Bailey, husband of Mrs. Opal L. Bailey, Campbellsville, and Pvt. Lester Hubbard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Hubbard, Manchester. Cpl. Edgar Lucas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gran Lucas, Georgetown, was wounded. Previously, wounded and now returned to duty was Sgt. Robert W. Kirtley, brother of Harold Kirtley, Campbellsville.
