SPECIAL NOTE:

This is a picture of my son who had accompanied me on one of many trips to old cemeteries in the area. He's leaning against a tombstone of a fellow who died almost 200 years ago! I had taken a rubbing of this stone when I was my son's age....Still have the rubbing!!! Stored away for safe keeping. Someday maybe someone will contact me asking about the tombstone...I can't even get a good picture of it anymore, it's leaned over so far!

This is a big reason why I like going around these old cemeteries....taking pictures of the old stones.....to preserve a bit of the past...or should I say...monuments to the memory of the people of the past...before they slip away....crumble into dust...like so many already have...
