Most of the memorials I manage belong to my own family. I believe that when possible, family members should manage their loved ones' memorials. There's no reason to "hoard" them — these pages are meant to honor and connect us.

Best Practice for Recording Birthplaces in Genealogy:

• Always cite the county as it existed at the time of the event (birth, marriage, death, etc.). This keeps the record historically accurate, since a person couldn't be born in a county that didn't exist yet.
• Example: Someone born in 1900 in the area that is now McCreary County, Kentucky, should be recorded as born in Wayne, Whitley, or Pulaski County, Kentucky (depending on the exact location), because McCreary County wasn't created until 1912.
