I love Genealogy! I love it so much, I actually spend time doing family research for other people in my spare? time. I've been doing it for many years and this internet stuff really blows me away. Every day I learn something new. Not just about my family, but also about our country, and what pioneering spirits our ancestors had to settle and tame this beautiful and once very wild place. I try to research the history of each place I come to so that I can get a feel of what my ancestors were faced with and their daily life. It has really made me appreciate them more and has renewed my pride in the wonderful country they built.I discovered Find-A-Grave while trying to work with the Tombstone Project on USGenWeb, but it didn't seem to take off too well. Some states, like Iowa & Illinois for a couple, have actually published their burial lists on line. What a find!! While Find A Grave can be a great Genealogy resource, let's not forget the main purpose is to document the burial sites of our people, i.e. record the location and photograph the headstones when possible.
