My name is Eddy Lamberty. I'm native of Grand-Halleux (Vielsalm community, Salm river area), BELGIUM. I'm 48 years old and I've been interested in WWII and more particularly in the Battle of the Bulge as I'm living in the Northern Sector of the Greatest Ground battle ever fought by the U.S. Army. 25 years ago, I've adopted several graves in Henri-Chapelle US Cemetery and Ardennes US Cemetery where +/- 14.000 Americans have their final burial place. I've met hundreds of WWII veterans and I've visited twice Arlington National Cemetery where many friends have been buried.

I'm so thankful to all the volunteers in the USA who are taking pictures of the graves of the fallen who made the ultimate sacrifices of their lives to give us back our freedom.

I've worked on several rosters of different units that liberated my native area with a special focus on the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 325th Glider Infantry Regiment, the 82nd Airborne Division, the 551st Parachute Infantry Battalion, the 517th Parachute Combat Team, the 291st Infantry Regiment, the 290st Infantry Regiment, the 289st Infantry Regiment...and many other supporting units: 740th Tank Battalion, 628th Tank Destroyer, 703rd Tank Destroyer, artillery units, etc.

I then try to gather as many information about all those heroes: birth date, home state, newspaper clipping, last burial places, WWII pictures/portraits, picture of their last resting place...

The heroes who fought in the Battle of the Bulge are part of the GREATEST GENERATION and their surely deserve my deepest gratitude and respect. LEST WE FORGET !!!!
