Please use the Edit feature to make request changes to birth, death, names, parents, and more. NOTE: I don't take changes sent via messages. Findagrave interacts with Ancestry so making connections to parents, spouse and children are very beneficial. To connect parents to children; add at children's memorial pages. Don't create a duplicate memorial. Have fun discovering your family.

Start marking memorials of Veterans which is a new feature. Go to edit and see Veteran and select.

EDOM CEMETERY MEMORIAL DAY - Business meetings are held 2nd Saturday in May located at the cemetery in Edom, Van Zandt County, TX. Cemetery is downtown behind bank. Contact is John Beall and Buddy Hutchins for cemetery burial locations, lot purchase and general questions. Donations to cemetery can be mailed to Edom Cemetery Association, 600 FM 2339, Ben Wheeler, Texas 74754. Donations are used for mowing and upkeep of grounds. CAMP GROUND CEMETERY in Poetry Community north of Terrell, Texas off FM 986 (Farm Market Road). For notice of meetings contact Camp Ground Cemetery Association, 14846 FM 969, Terrell, TX 75160 president Wesley Killian. Association owned the Cumberland Presbyterian Church across from cemetery before being turned down. Cemetery was vandalized in the 80's and many headstone were damaged or destroyed.

In my supplies bucket; Dawn Power Spray (great for algae), garden spade for removing weeds around headstone, brush made of natural material to remove dry grass and dirt off headstone, water, ant killer and wasp spray. This allows me to take the best picture of headstone. Always grateful when photo request filled but wish time was taken to remove grass, leaves, etc. off headstone before taking picture. NEVER USE A WIRE BRUSH ON A HEADSTONE!!! Try Dawn Power Spray. Contact the cemetery office if further cleaning is needed or to reset headstone.
