Retired from Geary County USD #475 in 2008 after 26 years of service. Grew up in Junction City, KS. I take photos at area cemeteries and post them to Find A Grave. Glad to transfer memorials upon request, not concerned with how you are or are not related. Also I will gladly add obituaries or other info you might find to memorials.
However, if you are a contributor who doesn't accept messages; I don't have time for you. We should all be on here to help each other and assist families with finding their loved ones.
MEMORIAL DAY
Beneath the boughs of ancient trees
A little flag defies the breeze
And every carvings's stark relief
Reminds us of a day of grief.
The flowers in the vase soon wilt
And over time, the markers tilt;
The letters on a stone may blur
But even after decades stir
The memories of those before,
Of how they'd smile and laugh and roar.
And standing on this gusty hill
I think that they are with us, still.
