I am happy to transfer your family memorials as long as it is not my family or that of my husband's. I believe family should take care of family. Please do this through contact manager in the edits section. If you send me a message I may not see it in a timely manner.

I started my family history/genealogy when I was very young. I always took pride in knowing where my roots were. My dad and I worked together on our history as well and we took several trips together doing our research. We had such great times going from Ohio to Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma together. I will cherish these memories forever.

I am also adopted and have been blessed to find both my biological families. I have truly been blessed in my new family and our relationships! I continue to work on these families as well.

I do try to verify edits to make sure the memorials are as up to date as possible with the correct information. If I cannot verify I will ask you for a source before I update the memorial.

I do work full time and spend as much time as it allows updating and managing my memorials. Please be patient. I do get to my edits in a timely manner. Please don't send me repeated emails about edits you have sent through SAC. I promise I will update the memorial.

If you are sending a date correction please send your source as well. I am happy to make corrections but not without a source. Many headstones do have the date incorrect and I am happy to note that in the bio.

I always love to see obituaries added to the memorials. If it is a photo, PLEASE add the source in the comment area and click the OTHER box for type of photo. These photos should not be the cover photo. Please remember this for any records you are adding to the memorial. SOURCES matter!

I have recently received several requests to manages memorials just for adding information. This is really not appropriate. I work very hard updating memorials and adding as much information to them as possible and linking family members after I have researched. I take pride in my work here at Find A Grave. Please send the updates!

• Memorials are transferred for relatives with these close relationships: child, spouse/partner, sibling, parent, grandchild, great-grandchild, grandparent, great-grandparent, niece/nephew, great-niece/nephew, aunt/uncle, great-aunt/uncle, or first cousin. This would include adoptive, step and in-law versions of these relationships.

If two members are related within these guidelines and both would like to manage the memorial, the member with the closer relationship should be given management.

• Always explain your relationship in the request! Keep in mind that the memorial manager may also be related to the memorial and may not make the transfer. You may also want to include your specific interest in the memorial.
