Mike Oldfield fan. Work a 40 hour week. 56 years not so young as I was. Working on Fawkner (that I'm taking a break from currently), and many others, including a town I once lived in. Woodend. Thankful I got my lovely old neighbour and a numbers person didn't. All information that I add to a memorial is public information. I am cautious concerning the living. ALL edits are based on evidence. I don't do guesses. I'm open to special requests. Also happy to do retakes of my own (they're not always perfect). Transfers as per F-a-G rules only (close relative). Cameras: I mostly use a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra phone, and sometimes a Canon EOS R50.

Not a big fan of cemetery trusts that sell a registry look-up for public info. It should be free and, in this day and age, online. Happy to volunteer time.

Some on here are frustrating with edits. There are no registration "districts" in Vic. They were born where it says. It's not NSW or SA. People travelled, visited, while pregnant. Birth place is more reliable from the birth reg, than what's put in the marriage reg, and certainly the death reg, by people's fuddled memories. Plot location should be the same as what's found in the basic cemetery search (the English version). eg. "Roman Catholic T, Grave 4299," not the GIS mapping location "FMP-RCT-4299," or the plot number 302771, or whatever it is you want it to be. It's not just for you. The burial or service date is important for others too. Don't exclude it as unnecessary. An article or notice from Trove is effectively useless without newspaper name and date. Include in screen shot. It's not your personal tree. The information must be correct for others. What happens on Ancestry when it's not?? Copy, copy, copy. Incorrect trees. FaG is owned by and connected to Ancestry. Get it right!

Advice.

Take your time and give it some thought, for a better photo.

Watch that your shadow, reflection, or shoes don't steal the limelight.

Time of day matters in sunshine. Cloudy is good for anything.

UNMARKED GRAVES need a photo too! ALL GMCT graves are findable.

Can't find the grave for a request? Use the website mapping on your phone or UNCLAIM IT!
