Amateur genealogist and history buff living in Baltimore, Maryland. I am happy to hand over memorials to relatives and close friends. I have been photographing exclusively in Parkwood Cemetery and Mausoleum for several years.

I encourage you to visit this beautiful cemetery if you live nearby. At an elevation of 88m or 289 ft, Parkwood Cemetery has rolling hills and many trees and is situated in one of the highest places in Baltimore City. The cemetery is nestled in Parkville off Taylor Avenue in an area known as Taylor Heights. Parkwood Cemetery abuts Double Rock Park and is mostly in Baltimore City, though far corners of the north border of the cemetery are in Baltimore County.

I am trying to photograph every gravestone in Parkwood Cemetery and may have photographed your relative's memorial. I am probably unrelated to you and did not intentionally fulfill a photo request. Parkwood Cemetery is Huge-- 130 acres and probably 55,000+ folks are buried here. If you have a photo request, in Parkwood Cemetery I recommend:

- Call the Parkwood Cemetery office (410) 444-5474 and ask them to give you a section name and number to better narrow down where your loved one's burial plot and memorial might be. Including that section name and number in your photo request will speed up the process as there are other Find a Grave contributors working in this cemetery.

- Parkwood has a computer database and a paper database of memorials. You will need to specifically ask them to check both databases.

- Please be aware that there are also a significant number of unmarked burials here.
