I am very much into the information and the puzzle of matching up the graves to my ancestors. I have adopted family and enjoy finding and connecting. I enjoy each memorial. I have respect for every single one. I enjoy linking family together. Every source on here ,is there for a purpose or it wouldn't be there. I have seen on several profiles that this is not a genealogy site. I understand that this was created in the beginning to register graves. It however has grown and evolved. Ancestry now has the ownership and therefore it is used as a source for genealogy. Everything changes including me.

I've changed. My life took a major change and the incredible amount of loss in a short time. I didn't think I was going to have kids. Lo and behold, I'm an older age with young kiddos. Autism mom here

After losing my dad, and a daughter (in pregnancy), my emotional attachment grew for my history. I have books and visited historical societies. I use ancestry, family search, newspapers, white pages, and google.com to research ,thoroughly before taking action. Not everyone has the luxury, to find all of their family. Find a Grave is a great way to show my babies one day all that I've found. I so APPRECIATE ALL the VOLUNTEERS, who have put so much work and time. So many great people have fulfilled my photo requests. I can't thank you enough!!! I delve deep into ancestry after my husbands cousin showed as a dna match. I was able to link him to his brothers and sister. Since then ,I've met other relatives we didn't know existed!!

My favorite graveyard is Jones Cemetary ,here in my hometown. My father spent a lot of time there. He is laid to rest, there. I found out that my great grandfather Andrew Johnson "John" Hankins was the president of the board association for this cemetery. He purchased lots for $25-40 in 1905. He was janitor of the Pleasant Run Church, that was next to the cemetery. It burned down in the 1990s. I never understood why my dad wanted to go there so much. We started a tradition and I hold it still. One day I will have more time to spend. I have a deep compassion for the babies' graves I come across.

I've had a few threatening to "report me" for my burial unknowns. I understand a case if every single memorial was unknown. If it was such a problem- THEY WOULDN'T HAVE THE OPTION! I've seen SEVERAL! The percentage of people choosing alternate forms of disposition have gradually INCREASED. I see more guidelines about harassment, honestly.

Every memorial is important. It's a recognition of someone's life. A soul lives on from the grave.

All in all, this is just the internet. There are more important things in life. If you message me, it is common courtesy to have your messages turned on. If I suggest an edit, especially when I have photographed the grave, and it's ignored I will create the correct information. . For the most part, I've encountered several kind souls on this site. However, I have a hard time understanding sourced edit declining people. Those ,who decline edits just for the control and thrill. It's like they're out to just be cantankerous. I had someone decline parental links when it clearly stated the parents on the memorial, itself. Like really, just be NICE!

As far as obituaries, and the rules of find a grave. Ancestry owns Find a Grave and Newspapers. com They have to cover all bases because of the sue-happy people. They share things that have been PUBLISHED. PUBLISHED information is now PUBLIC INFORMATION. When an obituary is created ,it is created by family. If they see fit, they will omit information they do not want to share! Therefore the consent has been given. If you share anything, be sure to type the SOURCE- this covers the copyright . (If you read the guidelines - it states do not share " contains personal, proprietary or confidential information ", sensitive financial information, home or work address, phone number, or email address, posting or uploading court documents that have been sealed or any other documents that are legally prohibited from being republished or publicly displayed.). I've personally had more people interested and thank me for the things I've shared! If you want something removed, please let me know.

If you have any suggestions or requests ,please feel free to let me know. I've found memorials that didn't have a maintainer. So I took them over and that is why I've got more than I've actually created. I'm open and appreciate a good ole kind, congenial message. KINDNESS goes far with me.

I have had the opportunity to work on a few projects. I have been working on Jones Cemetery book on and off for about 2 years. I recently went to Olive Hill ,Kentucky and photographed 2 Reynolds Cemeteries in entirety. Reynolds Cemetery owned by my husband's second cousin. Reynolds Family Cemetery owned by my husband's first cousin.
