GREETINGS!

Dubach, Louisiana is MY HOMETOWN.

Shortly after I started researching my family's genealogy in 2019, I learned about FIND A GRAVE MEMORIALS. Before that, I did not want to have any.thing to do with graves. I have since come to realized that knowing where family members are RESTING, is a valuable part of CELEBRATING the fact that THEY WERE HERE, on THIS EARTH.

To HONOR my Mother, her FAG Memorial was the first one that I created. Then I created Memorials for my Mother's Parents and her Siblings.

In 2024, I received an "edit request" for one of my Aunt's Memorial...that I had created. The request prompted me to contact the person making the request, who I found out was a FAG Volunteer. She had been working in the cemetery where a large number of my family members are buried.

I could go on and on and on about how we messaged each other back and forth about this, that, the other and so forth...but I won't.

What I will tell you is, she agreed to transfer MANAGEMENT of all of the Memorials...that she had created...at GREATER PLEASANT GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY and HOPEWELL (Baptist Church) CEMETERY to me. That is why you see my name on so many Memorials.

Because I grew up in this community, and have a good idea of WHO'S WHO, slowly I'm connecting family members to each.
