I recently starting reading Find a Grave postings about my late family members. I hope to add to the wealth of info, being pics etc to add to my family history. I believe everyone being born, when they pass, it is a responsibility of the family, if they have any still living, or dear friends, to let people know who they were.


Their children, if any, that they are missed dearly by someone. Everybody is somebody to me. I began working on just my family and that led me to help others find theirs. My hope is to make memorials "Special" not a document you type out and file in a filing cabinet.
I try to help obtain plot numbers for photo requests as it is simply put" Much easier to get a photo" especially in large cemeteries. I have unlimited calling and begin at 6 a.m. calling Ontario cemeteries from the time change. To help others in their search. Today I talked to Quebec and that was interesting with the French accent.
My hope is that with my help, my great-grandmother's photo albums and my grandmother's albums and the help of my elderly living Mom also a member with fag who has a very good memory of long ago, I can make another family member smile seeing it and remembering of long ago.
My family names close to us are Mercer, Shaver, Bailey, Forsman, Johnson, Bland, McIntyre, Bilton, Kernested, Hunter, McCracken, Hoggins, Hackett, Lundy, Patterson, Corbett, Muxlow, Singer, Duck, Pollon, Iverson, Kasprick, Tabak, Batryn, Hyrmak just to name a few.


I also would like to complete my family's memorials as best I can as I personally see a lot of blank spaces that can be filled my me. Not all, and I am hoping any family member reading one of my memorials if they have any suggestions, additions, comments anything really that will make these people who have passed know that they are missed and thought of often please don't hesitate to contact me.
If you are a family member (or dear friend) of one of my memorials and would like it transferred to you pls don't hesitate as I feel family belongs with family or a friend who knew them.. You can speak for them much better than I can.


For those of the many members here on fag making many memorials PLEASE request a photo of a headstone, marker, anything. It is one click of the mouse and it is done. You do not have to have a plot number as there are many of us who photograph sections of cemeteries. Yes, a plot number will get you results a lot faster. I now walk the cemeteries as we really cannot have enough people doing it. Yes, it is hard work. Some stones are caked in moss etc and some are hidden under bushes. I like to seek them out as they are ALL to me somebody.
I also enjoy helping with Veterans who made us free that are unmarked any way that I can. I am not professional by any means. No, I don't have fancy handle to my profile just Cindy.




If I install anything in anyone's memorial whether a pic, document anything that offends you, pls contact me so I can get rid of it. I am not here to hurt nor upset anyone. I am here to help in any way possible.


I also want to thank all the fag members who work with The Last Post Fund, trying, searching, digging, anyway they can, to make this Vet known to us and yes, get them a headstone . They are somebody and nobody should ever, ever, be unmarked for their sacrifices. These volunteers do their very best to get this Vet a headstone.
It is an endless job, hard work, volunteer work because they CARE THAT WE ARE FREE. It has been an emotional rollercoaster, tugging at my heart strings with these Veterans.


I only ask that you try to treat these people who have passed with respect and not post a coroner's report. Some, as we know are blunt, explicit and nobody needs to read the details that caused this person passing. Yes some people do pass in horrific ways. We should not be here to DEFAME anyone. Have a heart. Don't be heartless.


As for my memorials and people sending edits: Obituaries are fine as long as the living names have been deleted. I am not a genealogist by any means and my memorials are not column like with spinster, informant and all that stuff. Although that is the legal terminology. If you send it that way I will decline it. I am not here to edit the names in the obit. either. Pls have it organized before you send it as I have little time, like most, and I really hate that big red decline button.


I am no professional. No genealogist. Didn't win the spelling "B". I have been a Mechanic for over 45 years. So yes, I can turn a wrench with the best of them. Those that are old school and still do use a wrench. Grammar well that is a deep subject. lol
Spreadsheets, well you're talking bedding to me, if you get the drift. I do my best. That is all I can say.
As for pictures of my family. They are one of's from albums handed down generations to me. If you are my family fine share, but if not, I better not see it on a tree, that you are no relation to. All of my headstone pictures that have my name below them I have worked to obtain, but feel free to use them in a nice way.


But working together, hopefully we can make this website one in a billion speaking for those silent ones that walked this earth with some dignity.
