I will gladly accept any memorial transfers to my care and I will pass along the care of memorials to family members as long as they are not of my direct family line.

I have been interested in family history since a small child. I was fortunate enough to know my maternal great grandmother who started me down the road telling me stories of her youth. How I wish I had the foresight to have written it all down or put it all on a tape recorder. History that is not recorded is forgotten. Please help future generations answer that immortal question. "Where did I come from?".

Why did I leave a Flower on your family members memorial?

I like to leave a memorial virtual flower on graves I visit or created. Please understand that just because I leave a flower or tribute message on someone's memorial does not mean I am related however if you go back far enough, we are all related in some way.

Leaving a tribute message and a flower is a personal goal of mine. I have seen so many lonely memorials without anyone acknowledging that a real live person once lived on this earth and contributed to our world in some way. I belive history should be recorded and not lost. If you don't do it, who will?

Please leave a flower or better yet, share some Family Photos so that future generations can know what their ancestors looked like. Please remember that not everyone has photos and history passed down to them and since so few photos exist it is critical that you please share them with others. When you die the knowledge that you have about photos will disappear along with your memories, the photos themselves and other keepsakes. They may all wind up in the trash bin, being sold in a thrift store or even on eBay. Without attachment to a name, faces of a known person in a photograph are lost forever to history. You can easily take a photograph of a identified person in a paper photo with a camera phone and attach it to a Findagrave memorial with quick note with their names. It literally takes only a few seconds once you get the hang of it.

Please consider doing this as it would be a great way to preserve and honor your own legacy. I have no children or nieces and nephews, so I am sharing my photos and those that were passed down to me freely in the hope that other Cousins and their future generations will enjoy and continue sharing. Everyone deserves to be remembered!

Just a personal thought as I believe that there is something afterward this life.

"I exist therefore I am, so when I die it's just the next stage of something new".

I request that my ancestors, past and future cousins & friends from near and far come find me and share their knowledge is some way in my future or the hereafter.

Obituaries on FAG Memorials:

I received the following from a Find A Grave Administrator. "Since the move to Ancestry and the new website, newspaper obituaries, death certificates and other scanned documentation is allowed. We encourage members to move the images down to the bottom of the photo display so that they are not the first thing you see when viewing a memorial page."
