May 3, 2026: I'm not very active on Find a Grave at the moment because I'm busy studying for exams and I've been struggling due to various mental health issues. I do promise to be more active in the coming months, but right now, times are proving rather difficult. I hope you all understand.
I also want to take the opportunity to say this: the world is full of evil and this is not an easy time to exist in it. Racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, colorism--these things are so normalized yet they are seldom discussed in mainstream media. The system that perpetuates these forms of discrimination doesn't want us spreading awareness and uplifting victims. The world is, quite frankly, terrifying at the moment. It always has been, of course, but at the moment many leaders are seeking to undo forms of protection that marginalized groups have fought so hard for. How horrendous. How sickening.
Please surround yourselves with good people and be kind to yourself in the process. I would tell you all to not lose hope...but I know how hard that really is. And what a hypocritical statement as well, when I myself have succumbed to despair so often. Just please, stay safe and take care of yourselves. I wish you the best, my dear friends.

I joined Find A Grave because I want to give our angels a sacred space where they can be honored and loved, which may be gifts they were not given in life. They watch over us and guide us. The very least we can do is to honor them like this.
I believe that is the spirit of this website.

"Remember that these deceased souls deserve respect, even in death. Sometimes the competitiveness of fellow FG contributors is baffling. These memorials we create are not playing cards to swap. I will never understand or agree with creating memorials for souls that are still living. A FG contributor should not come across a memorial for their loved one, who died in 2021, but the loved one's memorial is dated, created in 2010. For me the volume of how many memorials my account has created means nothing. Unfortunately, to some contributors that number is life. Truly sad. I know the profile police will most definitely delete this statement but deleting doesn't make my comment any less true. As fellow contributors, we should be able to dialogue with one another in a respectful way, for the good of souls being respectfully remembered on FG." ♡
