Transfers: Closely related or otherwise, if I have a member of your family tree, I will happily transfer them to you. The goal is not to accumulate numbers but to assist others and research my family. 

In the event that it's my family too, I'll of course transfer if you are a closer relation. Or we can share custody of our 5th great-granduncle and his weird collection of bottle caps (or whatever definitely not neurospicy-fueled collection he prized). :D

Hopkinsville, KY Memorials: I inherited most of these from fallen gravers and I am not related to anyone there (so far).

Research Tool: Find A Grave is a great resource for those doing ancestry research, especially ones who don't have paid access to other sources. I strive to fill each memorial with as much detail as possible and will always include the original source.

Obituaries: One of the easiest ways to help others is with published obituaries, which are public domain and don't require explicit permission to use as long as you cite the source.

Find A Grave provides the following guidance on adding an obituary to a memorial:

"Rather than have members upload obituaries as images, we request that members type out obituaries to be placed in the Bio, removing the names of living people (including survivors of the deceased) due to privacy concerns. Also, members should cite the source such as the name of the paper or mortuary and the publication date. 

Note: To suggest an edit to the Bio field, click on Suggest Edits. Scroll down until you see the Bio section. Copy and paste the typed obituary into that field. Then click Save Suggestions."
