I come from a big extended family. Family history has always been fascinating to me. Learning more has always been amazing. I want to make sure loved ones are remembered, the way they should be. For everyone's family, not just my own.

I believe that our souls live on, and that there is more to "life" in death. I have experienced enough unexplainable things in my life to know that there is more. And I've experienced enough loss at my age to fill what seems like the world of grief.

Daddy : 274381910 (Though not through blood, he raised me from birth. He was my daddy, he'll always be my daddy. I miss him everyday)

Memaw : 274382968 (my maternal grandmother and half of my namesake (Betty, and I have always loved my name). Matriarch of all of our family, we all miss her everyday)

Papaw : 274383222 (My maternal grandfather and the second half of my namesake (Jean, because he went by Gene)

Nanny Lida : 208922182 (my "step" paternal grandmother, a beautiful woman with a matching soul. I miss her everyday and I wish she could have met my daughter. Her middle name is pearl just like I promised. (Even though you hated it lol). To know her was to love her.)

Grandpa T.C. : 180821164 (my "step" paternal grandfather. He would talk your ear off lol but his stories were always amazing. I wish in my youth I had been more patient to fully listen. I just know he's hard at work on his crossword puzzles in heaven.)

Uncle John : 274382340 (my "step" uncle, he was one of my favorite people. Not always the easiest to be around but someone always wanted around. Taught me a love of art and drawing. Had one of his pieces tattooed on my arm with his signature included. Amazing artist whose life was taken way too soon. Never had any kids of his own but always treated me and my siblings like his own, he loved kids.)

"Lil" Tony: 291569757 My maternal first cousin, almost like a brother to me, tragically died after a 2 month battle in the hospital after an infection. Only 35 years old..
