Mrs. Malena George, aged 78 years, a well known resident of South Bend, died suddenly on Wednesday morning while doing her household duties. She had been in her usual health and her death was a shock to the community. Funeral services were held in the Lutheran church at that place on Friday by her pastor, Rev. Woods, assisted by Rev. Kresge, and burial was made in the church cemetery.
