I basically use it as my Reference Bible now, as joining Findagrave was a blessing, and I have been working on transcribing our website records to Findagrave for the last 18 years. Thanks to the help of alot very nice people, from the Findagrave staff & volunteers to other contributors whose kindness and knowledge are 2nd to None, I have been able to greatly expand our family in all 8 directions and have uncovered many family secrets and been able to complete the links that bring the rings of previously incomplete family circle's to a complete close. But, I still "Love the Hunt" and have also researched many other families for friends or just for my own entertainment, when the opportunity presents itself, which is quite often.I now consider my work on Findagrave and my Genealogy Work, as... "My Work"... If only I could pay myself... Oh Well, Nothings Perfect.

In addition, What got me started on Findagrave, was that years ago we obtained a Sheridan Cemetery Book written in 1994, which is located in Auburn, Nemaha Co., Nebraska. I decided to transcribe it on Findagrave which back in 2008, when I joined, took me about several years to finish, which added about 4000 plus, memorials to the Sheridan Cemetary list and I also created a new Cemetery, Sheridan West, which is just down the road apiece from Sheridan. During that time frame, my husband and I visited many cemeteries, including Sheridan and Sheridan West and I started with just photographing a few Findagrave photo requests and ended up photographing entire cemeterues, like Sheridan West and Kite Cemetery and we also visited many other nearby cemeteries where many of my husband's family members are buried in Nemaha, Johnson, Lancaster and several other Nebraska counties as well as Phillipsberg, Kansas area where his mother's Kaiser family stemed from and then creating a few new cemeteries too, if needed.

Seems like I got involved with Findagrave when it was still pretty much in its infancy and just being discovered by 1000's of genealogists from everywhere. Even made a few dear friends in the beginning, a few of whom are now Memorialized here with Much Love.

Even though they are in a different place, they are still a part of our lives, let us not forget the ones who have gone before us.

If you wish to copy a photo that I have posted, PLEASE, Just ask first. It is a matter of courtesy. It is very disturbing to me and my family to find our private photos on other sites taken without permission and usually not even credited as to where they came from. Please respect this.
