Hi! I am a native of Omaha, Nebraska. I got started studying my genealogy when my uncle presented my family with an album containing photos and notes on my paternal grandmother's origins in Germany by way of rural Missouri - colloquially known as the Missouri Rhineland. I was fascinated, and it planted the seed in me that has blossomed into a passion for history and culture.

I am amassing virtual cemeteries of my relatives, while also working to research and add information and links. If I request management of a page, it is because the person was a relative (usually a cousin), and I want to provide links and information on that person on a long-term basis. I am fully aware of Find-a-Grave guidelines; it is YOUR prerogative if you'd like to transfer to me.

The primary purpose of this website is to honor and mourn the dead. With that in mind, I am also seeking direct descendants of the deceased to take over the pages from me. I will gladly transfer grave management to anyone who requests it who can first demonstrate a closer relationship to the deceased than mine. Usually, that's not too difficult, so PLEASE do not hesitate to ask. My research has enabled many Find-a-Grave subscribers to find their loved ones and launch their own genealogical searches. This, to me, is just an awesome and rewarding part of working on this site. I'm especially interested in linking infants' graves to their parents, since these children often go unrecorded in census records, genealogies, etc.

UPDATE 7/28/2026:

A) Next year, once I have finished this year's cleaning and organizing project, I am going to be doing a massive research binge of my Ancestry family tree leading up to a new upload! To prepare for this, I am going through and making a lot of edits, requesting a lot of tombstone photos, as well as making a lot of edit submissions and transfer requests. Mainly, though, I am adding source citations. Please bear with me!

B) I have been having fun picking up available pages of Anglophones in Italian cemeteries since I speak and read Italian! The majority of them are military graves of American and Commonwealth casualties of the two World Wars, but there are also some expatriates in cities like Rome, Florence, Livorno, and Milan! I just want to clean up their pages, add bios, and link them to their families, then I will dump them back to Find-a-Grave profile #8! As usual, I am keen to connect them with their surviving kin for management, but per Find-a-Grave rules, I will also make them freely available upon request!

UPDATE 9/16/26:

A) Please be advised that I always list the historic state in the time of the events in my bios, followed by the modern equivalent in parentheses. I make one exception for Ireland, which I follow with "United Kingdom" in parentheses to denote the period of direct rule (1801-1922). I know there are other controversial examples to which visitors have taken exception due to the political ramifications, but I am trying to be as accurate as possible. I'm not responsible for what people or governments did in the past!

B) On the military graves I manage: I am slowly but surely editing them to write up their military records in paragraph form. I am also listing their ranks in the official abbreviated form of their respective countries. I know that some visitors prefer to spell them out. I am also listing all those who died in service as veterans, in accordance with U.S. law (38 U.S.C. § 101(1)) and British law (Armed Forces Act 2011 (c. 18)). I can check the laws of other countries as needed.
