My love for cemeteries began as a child, visiting them with my Mom, Shirley. We would stop at cemeteries all over the country on our travels. Somehow, I manage to come across a "Shirley" in nearly every cemetery I visit. Rather than say it's a common name and just a coincidence, I like to think she is watching me and enjoying what I do here. I miss you Mom, keep looking out for us.

If I have created a memorial for a family member that you would like removed from Find a Grave, please contact me and I will do so. I understand that not everyone wants their family on a public website. If you would like to maintain a memorial for a relative, I will transfer it to you upon request. They are your family and I would rather they be with you than me.

Thank you to the members on Find a Grave who assist me with photo requests, give me useful suggestions and corrections for my memorials, and kind messages that I receive. I appreciate you.

Finally, I want to extend a special thank you to my most excellent sidekick and granddaughter, E.M. Your attention to detail when creating memorials is awesome. Your enthusiasm visiting the cemeteries, no matter how hot or cold, is appreciated. You are an amazing young lady, helpful beyond words, and you will continue this journey long after I am gone. I love you to infinity and beyond.
