My work at Ancestry is dedicated to the memory of my mom, Emily Leatrice Serrapede. She encouraged me to create an inclusive tree showing the complexities of relationships between married couples, divorced, unmarried, children of all relationships and their accurate connections. My emphasis is on inclusivity. Family is family, be they successful or not, CIS or gender fluid, same parents shared or only one parent shared. My tree includes multiple relationships, married or not, and children linked to biological parents with notes about step-parent relationships. I will even include foster children if they request it and enter discussion with me. The idea is to tell the story as it happened, not create a fantasy family. All spouses and ex-spouses are included. Partners and their children within the family and from previous relationships/marriages. The positive and the negative must be reflected to tell the greater story of the familes in the tree.

Please contact me before you decide to alter my photos, remove watermarks and reupload them. The watermark is there to facilitate family finding me, should anybody copy the photo and circulate at Ancestry. There are many family stories that go with each photo. I would like to pass that on to others as well. Contact me to discuss if you have suggestions to create a more aesthetic photo .

I will keep answering questions about my family. But now, I will focus on Dutch families of the Netherlands and the United States (1600-1900) and on meeting people with the same interest.
