5/08/26: The large backlog of Transfer Requests and other messages are still being worked on. Thanks for your patience. Some have waited for over two years. My sincere apologies to everyone concerned.
I'll be starting with the oldest ones first, and due to my situation plus the way the transfer process is designed (not automated like edits), getting caught up will likely take a couple more months
Family with Family. I'm a temporary caretaker of a growing number of "orphaned" memorials (with about 3 million more worldwide waiting out there on any given day) in search of a family caretaker. My priority is finding each of them a better caretaker. My site should just be a short-term spot before being transferred to "family" in one of its many diverse forms.
In all cases, I would of course hope that later on, if a close(r) family member requests a transfer, that it would be honored. We're all just temporary caretakers in one way or another.
I've been researching our family lines on and off for over 3 decades and spend as much time on it as I can.
Paternal surnames (with all their variations) include Kinsworthy. My brick wall is GGF John Ralph Kinsworthy (1872-1944) born in MS or AR. Likely from Kenworthy or Kinworthy family. Quakers from South & North Carolina that split. Hall, Little, Bedle, Hathaway, Ayres, Bishop, Simpkins, Thomas, Collins, Lowe, Wyckoff, Tice, Schenk, Cox, VanDorn, Middagh, Garretsen, Rufane, Wright, Ellsworth, Cozad and more.
Maternal surnames include SIMPSON (likely from Scotland, then to County Londonderry in 17th or 18th Century where 2xGGF Robert (1782-1849) was born. He's my maternal brick wall. Married Florinda LOUDEN (1800-1861), lived in Counties Longford, Louth, and Baltinglass. Son Robert (1830-1913) born in County Longford, died in Penge, Croydon, London. Lawton, Wilson, Cracknell, Croaker, Musk, and more.
Always something to learn. I focus on Kinsworthys/Kinworthy/Kenworthy (mainly in AR, MS, OH, IN, MS & TX ), Ayers/Ayres (NJ-PA-OH), Bedle (NY-NJ-PA-OH-IN, Thomas (PA-NJ-VA-OH-IN), Little (NJ-DE-VA-OH), Collins (NH-OH), Collins (VA-NJ-OH), Hall (NY-NJ-OH), Wyckoff, Sutton, Cozad. On my maternal side, Simpson (UK), Croaker (UK), Must/Musk (UK) and many more.
