NOTE: It has been brought to my attention, I am wasting peoples time, because I did not specify I only add part of the inscription, in the inscription field. I add only the details, not already posted in other fields like their name (repetitious), their Date of Birth (Repetitious), and their Date of Death (Again Repetitious). In National or Veteran Cemeteries, this will include a description of any symbols or the symbol itself if available (told it is required by Find a Grave staff), rank, branch of service, war or conflict and any personal words added by family.
In addition, also mentioned by a volunteer, I appear to be ANGRY! I am not, and the use of BOLD Print and Capitalized lettering (Not Yelling), in my book, simply means attention is needed!
I need to say, like it or not, if plot information is available, and it involves various numbers or letters that come after words (SECTION, ROW, SITE, COURT, COLUMN, NICHE) that describe what they stand for, those words, WILL all be used in the order in which they are presented on the site I use to find them.
That being said, I am being "lectured" by another "Volunteer" that I am doing it incorrectly by including them, and not the word "Columbarium" for Arlington National Cemetery! The reasoning given, it makes the Niche easier to locate by family members looking for kin. IT DOES NOT! Volunteers on findagrave, in general, all know what they stand for, however, the average person, looking for family, using Findagrave for info, perhaps without knowledge of the Va Grave locator sites, or Arlington's Data base, have no clue, just like I did not when I first started volunteering almost 8 years ago.
How about this? You do you, I will do me, and if you are busy editing the memorials YOU manage, you will not find the time to "Lecture" other volunteers, on the proper way "YOU DEEM CORRECT", or tell them "If they don't do it your way, you see no point in them volunteering at all!".
I have and ALWAYS WILL (generally in all capital letters), use the words that describe what all the numbers and letters mean, for plots in the ground or Niches in a "Columbarium".
It is my view the only word that can be deleted, and should be, is COLUMBARIUM, because the rest of the description, as presented in Arlington's Data Base and https://www.vlm.cem.va.gov/, and https://www.cem.va.gov/nationwide-gravesite-locator/ do not include the word Columbarium at all!
Thanks to all the volunteers making a difference on this site. It means a bunch. I appreciate the photographers walking the cemeteries and providing Grave photos very much.

Privacy First: Remove, blur, or black out Social Security numbers (SSNs) and sometimes cause of death, especially for recent deaths, to protect privacy.
Photo Categorization: Tag these images as "Other" so they are not mistaken for a headstone photo, which is the site's primary focus.
Copyright: Ensure you have the right to post the image. While public records, personal copies of certificates are often preferred.
Respect Families: Be mindful of adding sensitive details about the deceased's cause of death or living relatives.
So many Memorials have no photo of the stone. Please if no picture, but you want an edit, while on the site use the tab "Request Photo" and ask for one. We are limited to the the number we can request and everyone asking helps immensely.
Contacting Support I was informed GPS should be added to memorials. But can be refused as unreliable source. That being the case, I personally only accept GPS coordinates from https://www.vlm.cem.va.gov/. I was informed they use tech equipment using GPS to set stones in National Cemeteries and therefore, I feel they are more accurate, then any others. If coordinates are suggested, and I can find none on their website, the suggestion will be declined, until I can verify them on VLM.
I will continue to research before editing. I do not take requests of face value, nor do I trust undocumented family tree data from family search or ancestry. In my 40 years of researching, I have found too many errors and must be satisfied with data found before making changes.
I remove the names of the living from all bios in the memorials I manage. If you want me to add a bio, remove the names of the living as you type. As I edit all I manage they are removed anyway. Per guidelines and personal choice.

All one word: Stepchild or plural Stepchildren.
