My parents were wonderful people and I proudly follow the examples they set for my siblings and I.
They taught us the principle to "leave a place better than you found it". Always. If we picnicked in a park, before we left, besides taking care of our own trash, we spent time picking up any litter we saw. They said it was our way of saying "Thank you" to the people who made this park available to us. (Picking up litter was not limited to a park - we were supposed to pick it up whenever we saw it.)
I submit suggestions any time I see something that needs "cleaned up" according to Find A Grave's policies. As my parents taught me, helping to make Find A Grave a better place is my way of saying "Thank you" to Find A Grave for making this website available to all of us. And "Thank you" to the memorial managers who accept those suggestions.
