People are far more than just two dates. I do not understand why some contributors create memorials with only a birth and death date, then decline edits that add meaningful information. Memorials can be invaluable resources for people researching their family history and learning about their ancestors.

Please do not assume a memorial is complete immediately after it is created. I spend a great deal of time researching the individuals whose memorials I manage, often going well beyond the information found on a grave marker. Likewise, please do not take offense if I submit an edit. If I am researching an individual, I may discover information that will benefit other researchers and family members.

Although this is Find a Grave, it is also closely connected with Ancestry, making it an important genealogical resource. A grave marker and two dates tell only a small part of a person's story. Whenever possible, I believe memorials should preserve the individual's life, family connections, and historical context.

I enjoy researching every memorial I manage. Photographs add tremendous value by showing who a person was and, in some cases, may be the only image a descendant ever sees of their relative or final resting place. Biographical details, family relationships, obituaries, and other documented information can help researchers connect generations and better understand their family history.

My hope is that my volunteer efforts help preserve these stories and bring families closer to their history.

I welcome transfer requests that fall within Find a Grave's transfer guidelines, provided the memorial is not for one of my own relatives.

I take edits seriously and strive for accuracy. If I cannot verify submitted information through reliable sources, I may ask for supporting documentation. Courtesy, patience, and respect go a long way, and I appreciate working with others who share the common goal of creating accurate, informative, and meaningful memorials for future generations.
