Please do not post obituaries in the Photograph section of a memorial. Do take the time and effort to type up the obituary into the Biography area which is where Find a Grave prefers it, having recently opened up the bio area for edits and additions. Also include the newspaper name (look for previous names in the page itself), as well as the date of the newspaper, location and page - look at the image itself for page number as the database being used may say page 56 but actual page may be A6 or something of that example.

Do not especially post death certificates on memorials unless it is for documentary purposes supporting edits which the poster will take down upon request of the manager once edits are approved. The same for birth certificates as well please.

Not much to say about me - Catholic, female, live on the East Coast, like researching including genealogy.

Started out wanting to manage my father and brother's memorials. But some relatives didn't have memorials so they were added along with their families and it's sort of snowballed. Sometimes I'll come across a story that was touching or sad, happy or just left one wondering why? Everyone has a story and it seemed important to tell their story and link up their families - parents, children, siblings. Just seem to stumble across stories or maybe it was something else. But everyone has a story - don't lose the stories - let them be remembered.

Family names: Brown, Cummins, Davis, Elkins, Lewis, Hendershot, Matlock, McOsker, Motsinger, Hatton, Horita and Tanaka.

I remember attending some of the Davis - Lewis family reunions at Shields Park in Seymour, Indiana, as a child. Grandma Ethelyne Davis Russell was really famous for her chicken and noodles and persimmon pudding. Which I think is the REAL dessert that Indiana should be known for not sugar cream pie - Grandma never made it!
