- 'suggestions' are just that - suggestions. It's up to the memorial manager whether your suggestion is approved, modified, or declined.
- * submitting a 'suggestion' over and over again once it has been declined, won't cause it to be magically approved
- * bullying, bogus 'reasons' (in all caps) why your suggestion MUST be approved, or repeatedly submitting a suggestion will either be ignored or reported - just stop. you know who you are.
- please submit full transcription in u/l case
- putting a member's information on a memorial, is a violation of policy. The memorial should be focused on honoring the decedent, not on cataloguing who submitted what data. [per FG guidelines]
Transfers: per FG -
~ determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. You can add photos and suggest corrections without managing a memorial.
~ transfer requests will ONLY be made within the Findagrave guidelines (child, spouse/partner, sibling, parent, grandchild, great-grandchild, grandparent, great-grandparent, niece/nephew, great-niece/nephew, aunt/uncle, great-aunt/uncle, or first cousin. This would include adoptive, step and in-law versions of these relationships.)
Note: Great aunts cousin 15 times removed doesn't count.
~ Please request transfers via the "Suggest a Correction" link under the "Edit" tab on the memorial in question with your request to have the memorial transferred to you. Include your relationship, otherwise the request will not be processed.
~ I deal with transfers about once a week - don't keep sending messages, it will get done if the request falls within FG guidelines.
- * Use the edit function to put information in the correct fields, don't just send me the info
- * please don't write flowery bios, include names of the living, cause of death or outside links. the suggestions will either be declined or edited
- * I won't link to 'burial unknown', or duplicates
