The DVA Nominal Roll lists all official naming conventions for all enlisted & commissioned ranks. It is not disrespectful for example to use the correct abbreviation for Private which is Pte.

The use of 'Pvt' which is the American abbreviation, needs to be called out as disrespectful.

Please be aware family members have requested no Find a Grave Memorials are created for ;

They specifically state his burial is private.

∼All memorials at Yan Yean that are unmarked or have a White Cross, Funeral Home Marker, or awaiting a headstone to be updated are recorded in a Virtual Cemetery. Currently there are over 750 memorials in this category, I regularly check all sections in the cemetery for formal plaques or updated headstones,, consequently there is no need to place a photo request.

There seems to be a 'trend' at Yan Yean Cemetery to fail to issue a "Thank You" for fulfilled photo requests.

If you issue a photo request you are obliged to send volunteers a Thank you message.

You are not 'entitled' to receive photos without acknowledging the time & effort volunteers contribute to Find a Grave

I will not issue a thank you to Arm Chair volunteers who fill photo requests with Water Marked Copyright plainly visible on the image.( Particularly War Graves)

I am not related to anyone buried at Fawkner, consequently I'm not able to assist with any information relating to their life stories.
