TRANSFERS:

I am happy to transfer memorials to family members (no matter how distant), friends, or anyone who knew the deceased. Please use the "Contact manager" option in the suggested edits portal or send a message. I am not related to most of the memorials I manage. I would much rather a memorial be in the hands of someone who knew the person. But I am also happy to manage any memorial.

EDITS:

I welcome all suggested edits for memorials I manage. I usually process them within a day or two. I find edits to be very helpful and a great way to add information to a memorial. I am grateful for people who add missing or correct inaccurate information on memorials I manage. Everything helps, no matter how small!

MY MEMORIALS:

I am not related to anyone at Cypress Lawn or any of the other Colma cemeteries. If I accept management from Find a Grave of a memorial, it is to add information. I do research on most of the memorials I create, but with the exception of family members, I have no further information on the memorials I manage.

FAMILY:

Family names I'm researching include: MURRAY, HOMER, BERGEN, NICOLAIDES, CLARKE, WHITE, GOUKLER, LOFTUS, and DUFFY. I have sponsored two relatives' memorials, Atalanta Maher and Louise Schiftner. Any flowers left for them are greatly appreciated, as well as anyone in my Family virtual cemetery. Thank you to everyone who has left flowers already. It really means a lot.

FLOWERS:

I leave flowers on many memorials I come across. Most I am not related to, I just want to show respect and honor the person's memory. As quoted from another contributor's bio, "I believe everyone in good standing deserves a flower." It's a nice gesture. I know I appreciate it when other contributors leave flowers for my relatives.

PHOTO REQUESTS:

Thank you to everyone who has fulfilled my photo requests. I try to send everyone a thank-you note, but I didn't get to you, know I was very grateful. Almost all of my requests are for family, or family of someone I know. Thanks to photo volunteers, I've gotten to see the graves of several relatives and friends.

MY VOLUNTEER PHOTOS:

I try to reciprocate with taking photos at cemeteries near me when I can. I volunteer regularly at cemeteries in Colma and the San Francisco area, but I also take pictures when I travel. 

Anyone is welcome to use any of the grave photos I have added. There is no need to provide attribution. I take photos for families and friends of the deceased. You are welcome to use them for any personal purpose. I think Find a Grave is a great way to memorialize a person's legacy.

I try to take good quality photos when I can, striving for quality not quantity, especially with requested photos. I try to submit my best work, but I am by no means a professional photographer, and my photos won't always be perfect. If you have a better photo, just contact me and I will happily delete my photo. I care much more that there is a good photo attached to the memorial.

OBITUARIES:

I am fine with obituary clippings and death certificates added to my memorials. Please label them as "Other." However, if possible, I would rather you submit an edit to add the obituary in the bio section. To respect the privacy of the living, please remove all names of living survivors from obituaries before submitting them to my memorials.

Per Find a Grave's memorial naming conventions: "A period should be used after an abbreviated name, for example a middle initial. If the full name is known, use the full name and not the initial." I add the middle initial with a period if I create a memorial, to follow Find a Grave's rules. I may send you an edit with a period after an initial.
