Thanks to Gregory Kimm, #48361471, for the translation of many Chinese (and other Asian) markers , especially in the Verde Lawn Section, Sunset View Cemetery, El Cerrito, CA. I've learned from him that google translations seem to use the Mandarin dialect, but Chinese headstones often don't give a clue about what dialect the deceased spoke. Because most of the Chinese headstones in this Verde Lawn section seem to be for Cantonese-speaking people, we are using the Cantonese names.

I also learned that sometimes the English name on the headstone is in traditional Chinese order: surname followed by given name. Note: I transcribed some of the simpler markers on my own, and I am solely responsible for errors; please send corrections, thank you.
