I am grateful to my mother, niece Diane and cousins Margaret and Pauline for sharing with me the research they had started on our family tree. Once I began researching and adding to what they had started I began having so much fun learning about all our relatives that I find no stopping point. To me this is more fun and enjoyable than reading a book, TV, and other activities that once took up so much of my time. My current tree has grown to over 3,000 relatives and I haven't even started on the Tillmans my married name. My recent find was an extended family member that started a Mico post office in his home about 1880 and his two sons delivered the mail twice a week by horseback to the star route in Mississippi. Later one of the sons became the postmaster and moved the post office to his new home several miles away. This was interesting since my deceased husband was a rural mail carrier in Stone Mountain, Lilburn and Bethlehem, Georgia. I was a sub mail carrier in Stone Mountain about 1963-1965.

If I have taken a photo and posted it on Find A Grave of a relative or friend of yours, feel free to make copies. I feel it would be selfish of me to post photos of your relatives and then not allow you to have copies of your own relative for your family tree. I was reminded of this when reading Philippians 2:3-5 "If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourself. Each of you should look not only to your own interest, but also to the interest of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus." I get so excited when I find a missing relative and lots of them were found as a result of the generous hours donated by FAG volunteers. I am so grateful. So enjoy and happy researching.
