My great-grandfather James Howard Lee was originally a 'yeoman farmer' from Colebrooke - Devon England, who emigrated to America around 1866-67 (we believe).
Descendant of numerous veterans who proudly served in the American Revolution, Civil War, World War One, and World War Two. Most came home, some did not (Harry 'Punky' Gallaher of Minneapolis, my Mom's younger brother, KIA Luzon 1May 1945). Mostly Army; my Dad (Prof. Frank Freeman Lee) served in the US Navy in the Atlantic/Mediterranean and Pacific (convoy duty on the USS Boyle DD-600).
