I have been researching my family history back to before the Revolutionary War. Found many interesting stories. A direct ancestor crossed the Delaware with George Washington, an uncle lost his life as a union soldier fighting in Arkansas. My dads uncle landed on the beaches at Normandy and went on to fight the Battle of the Bulge. He earned a silver star, bronze star, and a purple heart.. My dad dropped out of high school at the age of 17, joined the Army Air Corps and went to Okinawa 2 months after he married my mother. This was the military side of my family.

Other aspects are equally interesting but I won't list them all here. It is really fun tracing the family tree, but very time consuming.
