Please don't add "goth" looking photos to memorials I manage. It difficult to read with the "darkening" effect. In fact it looks terrible. Maybe that's just me, but it's also my memorial.

Seriously? You volunteers have nothing better to contribute except corrections regarding using a period in a name? To me that is petty & nitpicking & adds to the congested suggested edits I have.

Please be a contributor to find a grave not just a memorial manager of someone elses work.

I kindly ask that you send your source for suggested edits. Doesn't have to be lengthy. Just say SSDI, obit, La Death Records, Father Hebert etc.

The same people keep wanting me to alter headstones inscriptions. It's just not gonna happen. I'm sure the dearly departed & family thought long & hard about what was inscribed & apparently they chose NOT to include their baptism name of Marie or Mary. I will gladly include Father Hebert's church records in the bio section.

Also, since this is Find a Grave, I do not link memorials to burials that were set up knowing the burial details are unknown. 

Since dates calculated by subtracting the age at death from the year of death are not always correct, please don't submit them as Suggested Edits— It is better to leave the field empty than to introduce errors that mislead.

Regarding edits: Please have documented sources when making suggested edits. Pulling something from Ancestry trees is NOT documentation unless they are sourced.

IF you send no sources of any kind for verification with your edit, I will do my own research. If I can't verify it, it will not be added and you will receive a declined edit notification. If your edit is important to you, please take the time to share your documentation so the memorial can be updated. (Borrowed from Irish Eyes)

To ensure accuracy, please include memorial #s when inquiring about memorials. I work in several cemeteries in my parish & surrounding areas. It's best to go to the memorial & scroll down to "contact memorial manager".
